Come join us for Bites & Insights, an educational luncheon series designed specifically for small business owners and entrepreneurs! Each session features a new, practical topic aimed at providing valuable knowledge and expert advice from small business leaders. Lunch included.

Session Topic: Business Fraud Prevention
Speaker: Carrie Birky - VP and Risk Operations Director; and Maecayla Biddle - Treasury Management Relationship Assistant — Commercial Bank & Trust Company

Network and connect with peers while hearing from banking experts on the latest fraud threats affecting businesses, including business email compromise and check fraud, and learn how tools like e-statements can help strengthen your organization's financial security.

About the Speakers:
Carrie J. Birky, CFE, CAFP, is Vice President, Risk Operations Director and Bank Secrecy Act Officer at Commercial Bank and Trust Co. She has been in banking for 24 years, serving in many roles, but her current role includes overseeing the bank’s Fraud Department. She is a Certified Anti-Money Laundering and Fraud Professional and a Certified Fraud Examiner. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in accounting from Murray State University and her master’s degree in business administration from the University of Tennessee at Martin.

Maecayla Biddle is Treasury Management Relationship Assistant at Commercial Bank and Trust Co., where she has worked for almost five and a half years. She graduated from the University of Tennessee at Martin in 2020 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. She started at CBTC shortly after graduation and has been there since. She has been in the Treasury Department for a little over three of those years.
