Join us for our regional event series, "The Breakfast Club," designed to bring together regional leaders and stakeholders to discuss topics vital to the enhancement and development of the West Tennessee region.
Speaker: Heidi Smith, Vice President of Economic Development, TVA
Heidi Smith is General Manager in Economic Development at the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA), an economic and community development agency touching seven southeastern states. In this role, she develops TVA’s Global Business team into an elite set of project managers, community development specialists and marketers.
Together, Smith and her team put the client first – namely, company executives seeking new business opportunities and the site selection consultants who advise them. Smith’s team proactively identifies needs, trends and challenges in today’s global economy and helps develop programs, site selection products and training opportunities accordingly.
Across the Valley, Smith’s team also collaborates with local utilities, community and business leaders, state agencies and regional groups to achieve a shared goal: retaining and increasing quality jobs and investment in the region.
Smith, who is a certified Facilitative Selling and Proposal to Win facilitator, holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing and communications from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Ark.
